Day Four

It's my turn (Sid) to write today's blog. Just to share with you a few weird things that people eat. This morning we had pancakes and sausage for breakfast which includes  butter, syrup and yes peanut butter (Danielle) and tonight we had roasted potatoes and chicken with yes mayonnaise on the potatoes (Danielle) yum.
But for our day we returned to the two homes which we are working on. We sanded the upstairs bedroom and bathroom and applied a third coat of compound. Tomorrow we hope to sand the final coat and prime everything. Others worked on the electrical by fishing wire through walls and ceilings which is quite a challenge. Others hung drywall in the kitchen and others framed in bulkheads in the dining/living room.Today was another productive day. Tonight after supper we continued with our shuffle board tournament which was very competitive. Later tonight we will go into the sanctuary for our devotion time which is a highlight of the day to here others thoughts of the day. This has been a truly blessed time for all.

  1. It sure looks like you are all working very hard and it is so nice to read the reports.
You will all be gaining valuable work experience and skills in many different areas. And especially you will have gained an understanding of how some people live and think. Talking to some of the people you meet and being a witness to them, difficult and yet also a big part of this week.
I also have the feeling that you will all need a rest after this spring break is over, but a week you will never forget. Keeping you all in our prayer, henry and arlene
